WHY IS IT SO SLOW?question

Hi,
I'm Naveen and i have been using Airdroid for around past three months. I really dont understand why it gets really slow. Phone to Phone transfer happens at around 1.2 mbps (android). Android to my Windows laptop or my Mac also gives me a similar speed. When its a transfer via wifi without using internet then why is it getting a lot slow. I really dont understand.
