Connecting To Device When Screen Is Off

Is there ANY way to connect to my device through AirDroid without having to pick up my device and unlocking the screen?

1. this takes away 98% of the reason i use AirDroid... not having to go find/get my phone.
2. i don't see how the find your phone feature works if you can't even connect to your lost phone.

Ditto! This has been the case for me for the past 3 months now, and it's increasingly frustrating. Please help! I have a Galaxy S6.

Hey guys, Have you checked the power saving mode, doze mode and turn off the settings that may stop AirDroid keep running from the background? Kindly note that the following settings may stop or kill AirDroid process from keeping running:

Power saving mode
Doze mode
Phone manager to clear background data.

Yes. And this hasn't worked for me for years, not months. If my phone is not awake, unlocked, screen on.. it just won't connect. So if i am going to go grab my phone and unlock my lockscreen i may as well just use my phone. And if it is lost then i have to hope that someone else has it and has started up the AirDropid app.

I am having the same problem, and had I known that I had to have the screen on and unlocked, I would not have likely of bought Premium. It is utterly ridiculous to need to have the phone unlocked & on or having to download a new application. I have an LG Rebel.

Just the other night, I lost the phone. It had issues connecting from my location (as always) and than it said my phone was at my job. I thought to run out to pick it up; good thing I did not as the phone was in my car- had fallen in the bottle holder against the door. So, it is not reliable.
