Try this test version to see if it helps: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dl.airdroid.com/AirDroid-Test-3152-0910.apk

Nope. External SD purple icon still not showing. Tried to clear data, uninstall, external sd icon won't appear. I have a second LG L90 D410hn with KitKat, the iccon appears but it's useless since kitkat does not have the api to ask for permission to access external storage, on Lollipop the same icon simply do not exists.

In web browser, despite of external sd is shown, there is no write permission: http://imgur.com/FxxGTqd

I am using AirDroid on a Note 4 with a 5.0 operating system. The screens described in the insructions do not match the screens that display on my phone, and there are no popup instructions. Could you please provide updated instructions for this situation?

I had the exact same issue that you had. Go back to the screen where all you see is "recent". On the top right is the "verticle elipses or three dots". Click the three dots in the top right and it should have an option "show Sd card". Now go back to your Open from pane and your sd card will be listed.

In both 3.1.5 and the newly updated 3.1.5.1, it is not showing "External SD" under Files in the app.
Same problem here and the test app won't install

Re: [Help & FAQ] How to Manage Files Saved to External SD Card on Android 5.0+?

Hi! I'm having troubles when I try to select extSDcard from the menu: while selecting the extSD, in the stock file manager, files are not shown and when I try to select the right path, the program crashes. I'm using the lastest version.

I am having the same problem, I cannot reach the menu you are talking about for some reason.

I am using a Samsung S7 with Android marshmallow 6.0.1

Here is a step by step click of the menu I have;

I do not have the blue window like you are showing here. Once I click External SD, it takes me to the last picture I posted, the blue menu does not appear at all. Must be that I am doing something wrong but I would really like to be able to transfer files on the external sd without having to use the slow usb2. And yes, I did go back in the application to clear cache and data.
