SideBySide error in Windows 7 Application Log

Ever since I installed the latest update to the Windows version of AirDroid, my Windows Application Log is showing the following error:

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\AirDroid\AirCmd.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "C:\Program Files (x86)\AirDroid\AirCmd.exe.Config" on line 2. The application config file root element must be configuration.

I also discovered that my right-click context menu no longer includes "Send to AirDroid".

Re: SideBySide error in Windows 7 Application Log

This was fixed by the following steps:

1. Rename the file AirCmd.exe.Config to AirCmd.exe.Config_original.
2. Download the latest version of AirDroid Win and install it.
3. Reboot your Windows computer.

Now when you check your Application Log the error should be gone.
Right clicking on a file should show "Send To AirDroid" in the context menu.

Funny how this fix works. Before I installed the latest version, I did the "Check for update" command in the System Tray for AirDroid. It said I had the latest version. Yet after doing the install, I did not get a new version of the file AirCmd.exe.Config at all.

This leads me to believe that AirDroid is getting updated without changes to the version number.
