SMS - contacts not being read from phone

Not all contatcs are being read correctly from my phone ( motorola defy, Android 4.0.3) when selecing them in sms app on airdroid.
It shows the first number thats stored, which is typicaly a landline nuumber, but not the second number which is usualy a mobile number - ie the nuumber that the text/sms needs to go to.
