AirMirror in local wifi connection mode

Hi,

Why is AirMirror only available in the web interface when connected via http://web.aidroid.com ?
When I connect that way I log in, it detects my phone on the local network and goes to a local connection mode where AirMirror is available.

But there are cases where I am on a wifi network with the pc and the phone but not with an internet connection. That only allows me to connect via the phone's IP adres with a webbrowser. Works fine that way but in this mode I'm missing the AirMirror icon on the web desktop??? Why is that? Why do we only have AirMirror via de http://web.airdroid.com website (which requires an internet connection)??

Regards.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

AirMirror can also be used in your comouter via desktop AirDroid, but you need to connect with internet.

In a word, if you want to use AirMirror feature you should have internet, no matter local connection or remote connection.

Feel free to let us know if you need further help.

Best Regards,

Re: AirMirror in local wifi connection mode

I don't think there is any technical obstacles in realizing this feature, more like a business consideration. I strongly recommend the developer add this feature in the future version, even only for premium users.

Thanks for your suggestion, we will have an internal discussion about it.

By the way, we would like to know why you are in pursuit of this feature ?

It would be much helpful for us to evaluate it and get closer to our users.

Any development, we will let you know.

I would also like to use AirMirror without an Internet connection. My Internet connection is terribly slow causing AirMirror to have a screen refresh rate of 2 frames per minute. It would be alot more useful for me if it didn't require an Internet connection. Controlling my phone with my PC's peripherals would be a big help.

If there is already a way to use AirMirror over LAN, can you point me in the right direction?

EDIT: I found out that using the AirDroid program on a windows computer allows AirMirror to work over LAN. That's unfortunate though because I use Ubuntu as my main OS. Using AirMirror in a web browser while connected to the local IP would be nice, but I believe there are only a few people in my situation. I understand if it isn't a priority in this app's development.
