Paste file prohibited

I successfully connected my Dell laptop with Toshiba Excite Pro tablet. I can drag a file or folder on a Toolbox window where I have no possibility to drop it down or paste there, there appears the sign "No Entry" at the icon and the icon is jumping back to its place.
I have WinXP SP3 and Android V2.0.5.2, home Wi-Fi router.
Have you any idea to solve the problem?
