Exporting MP3

I frequently export Mp3s from my phone onto my desktop so that I can upload them to the cloud. Invariably, the mp3 shows up as an unrecognized file with no extension. Simply renaming and adding in the .mp3 solves the problem for me. However, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong to result in that extension being stripped on export. I've searched around and found similar problems with import but none of the export variety. Any tips?

Will look into it. Anyone else got the same problem with music exporting?
