Transfer stops on screen shut down

I have noticed that during the process of importing files if the mobile screen shuts down the transfer stops! I don't know if anyone else has noticed this :S I am using AirDroid 1.0.4 beta my device is Galaxy Nexus running on Custom 4.0.3.

It's probably that your ROM setting or a third party app stopped WiFi function when your device go sleep. Please check.

I installed Airdroid on an EVO 3D running ice cream sandwich. I have
wifi set to highest performance and set to remain on when sleep.
However, whenever my screen turns off Airdroid loses its connection.
What is the problem?
