"Start service on open" not working

The "Start service on open" option is not working for me. I'd like to use a locale plug-in to automatically start AirDroid whenever I'm at my house, so having this option working would be very handy. I'm using a Droid Bionic w/ Android 2.3.4 (stock ROM).

Any info or suggestions will be much appreciated.

You misunderstood my post: this is a bug report, not a feature request. The "Start service on open" option does not work on my phone.

I only mentioned using a locale-based utility by way of explaining why I need this option to work.

Sorry for taking it wrong. Have you tried remove and re-install to check?
