Deleting Pictures

My first time using the app, i tested it out by deleting my captured images folder. When i checked my phone, the pics were gone but the folder was still there with broken images or whatever you want to call it. kind of defeats the purpose since i still have to go back into the phone to delete the folder anyways.
I have an LG Nitro HD running ICS.
