I just moved from the HTC One to the LG G2. The HTC One's behavior, when PIN was inputted incorrectly, was a brief "flash" of the screen that was basically a reload the pin entry screen. This behavior actually produced a bit of time where the lock screen was unusable (~1-2sec) but that's really not much of a complaint.
However, the new LG G2 (LG D-800) ATT version is making a shutter noise every time the pin is entered incorrectly. Interestingly enough, it does not exhibit the "unusable period resulting from reloading the lock screen" that the One did after bad entry.
FWIW, I already have shutter sounds disabled in the regular camera.apk. I suppose I could hunt for the sound file and rm -f it using root but I thought I'd raise the issue here first.
