Erratic SMS behavior & Dropped Messages

Connected to device via (highly stable) wifi network

Attempt to send 3 text messages

Only 1 message appears on phone

In similar circumstances, I often check my carrier's online text portal, which shows history of texts.
Here I see only the second 2 messages, not the first.

Have only used AD texting a couple times, and already have a situation of 3 conflicting sources of truth for message thread :/

Mac desktop client 3.6.2
Samsung Galaxy S9
Android 8.0.0

Thank you for your feedback.

We would like to confirm with you that is there both Android Messages and Verizon Messages installed on your phone?​

If yes, would you switch to Verizon Messages as default, and then back to Messages.

Then you send SMS again via AirDroid to see if it will appear on your phone.
