How to change from png file to jpegquestion

I'm still new to this, but would like to send my pictures as jpeg, not png.
Is there a setting on either phone or desktop to alter this?
So far I have not seen it.

AirDroid is not a image type converter app, so you can transfer a PNG as JPG via AirDroid. You can transfer it to computer first, then convert it using some free converter website/software.

I realise that, but I send my picture from my phone as a 1.3mb jpeg file and it arrives on my PC to save, as a 97.6 kb png file.
When I click the arrow, the other option is bitmap.
Is there a setting somewhere I have missed?

It seems that many tools can help you finish the task. Here you can try on some bulk watermark tool. It can help you convert many jpgs to pngs.
