AirDroid in Chinaquestion

I use AirDroid for screen mirroring of an Android device on Mac Air over wifi. I will be visiting China and Taiwan in the near future and wanted to know if I could use my current setup in both China and Taiwan. Not sure if the Internet access is required from the WiFi hot spot which connects to both the android device and Mac Air for AirDroid application to work?

The English version of AirrDroid works fine for me.
