Newbie here - File option - Is there a setting to I prevent all folders from being displayed

Newbie Here
Regarding the 'File' option - Is there a setting to I prevent all the device's folders from being expanded / displayed ?
I usually want to access my SD Card and it would be great not to have to scroll down to that drive.
