New SMS thread on top

Sending a text message in a already existing thread doesn't move that thread to the top. It only moves it to the top once I get a reply from that person. If I don't get a reply then the thread remains in its previous place somewhere down the list, unless I reload the app or restart it. Hope I was able to explain the issue.

Im using the Mac OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6.
