Airdroid on LG Stylo android 5.1question

Hi, I'm using Airdroid on an LG Stylo running Android 5.1. The device is not rooted but I have usb debugging developer mode enabled and it's connected to a Win 7 PC with Airdroid. The problem i'm having is that I'm having to open aidroid on the phone for the pc connection to successfully connect the airmirror to the phone .If I leave it disconnected for a while and then try again I will have to again open the app on the phone for it to work. Is there anyway to fix this? It doesn't seem to be an issue doing this with Samsung devices on android 4.4 so I'm not sure if it's an LG issue or an android 5.1 issue..

Steps: open AirDroid on your phone-->Me--> Settings-->About--> Feedback.
