Setup AirMirror remotelyquestion

Hi,
Is there anyway to setup AirMirror remotely?

My use case:
- I am in the US, my grand-mother (90yo - very un-geek) in France
- Skype with her is great, until she sees Android notifications on screen and does not know how to deal with them, so maintenance has been an issue
- I had a tablet delivered to my grand-mother in France with AirDroid installed
- Now I cannot do the USB setup for AiMirror and AirMirror would greatly help me with all the configuration / updates of the tablet while my GM would have to worry about Skype only

Would rooting the tablet allow remote AirMirror setup?
Do you have any other suggestion?
