I accidentally uninstalled Airdroid on my android phone, please don't ask me how I did that in my car in the dark, but I did. Now I can't get it back. Google Play tells me it's already installed. So I tried getting the apk and installing that, but it just got way too complicated and there was something about my having to install some kind of Java thing I had no clue about. There must be some way around this. Can I tell the play store it's not there on my phone somehow? I have tried about a dozen other such apps, but not one of them will work.

Similar issue. AirDroid is not working upon updating my Google Pixel 2 XL to Android 8.1. The app crashes right on startup. Any help ? I downloaded it from http://ac-market.org/ if that makes any sense.
