Last update destroyed the entire app, can't connect at all unless my phone's screen stays on, and even then the connection is tenuous at best. Uninstalled airdroid and went back to mightytext.

May be I misunderstand what this does. What I want is to manage the files on the Samsung Galaxy SII. AT&T *required* me to install Samsung Kies to upgrade to Android 4. Then I was able to see the entire device through Samsung Kies, but it gives other trouble to the PC. A little more detail about the technical background may help users to understand what is going on. -- Thanks, Paul

QR code not generating within corporate LAN. I won tip of the month for suggesting AirDroid as a cool app to have. I hope the engineers will fix this issue http://youtu.be/0M-XfOO8cuU

Thank you ViniG it's work :)the solution is the following :
Hey, Everyone -I was having the same problem as everyone else after the update. I found a solution for my setup. Hopefully it will work for you, as well. Try these steps:
Open AirDroid on your device.Touch the user icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, next to the menu icon.Sign in using the same login process you will use on your computer, i.e. directly into AirDroid, using Google, Facebook, etc.Now open web.airdroid.com on your computer (and sign in, if necessary, using he same login as in step 3).

My phone not on a LAN;
I experienced that the app gets timed out after few minutes.even if auto start at reboot is enabled the app needs to be opened once before connecting it to web server.
this means that "AUTO START APPLICATION ON REBOOT" is not working properly.
Pls look in to...

At home I don't have a problem connecting my device (Samsung S3). However at work this failes. I have tried reconnecting numerous times.
I'm not a specialist, but imho the problem (in my case anyway) is in the port used. Port 8888 is blocked here, as are most other ports. Port 135, 445, 2030, 5863, 5864, 5938, 6051, 17500 and 23443 seem to be the only ones open.
I assume that using web.airdroid.com uses exactly the same ip address behind the scenes resulting equally in not being able to find the device.
If this is indeed the problem, isn't there something you can do to fix this? Pocket.do doesn't seem to have this problem, as I can connect to pocket.do without a problem. It's just that AirDroid's feature set and looks are far better than Pocket.do's.

Had AirDroid working well on HTC Inspire; just got HTC One and while interfaces looked correct, connection was failing.
For what it's worth, I disconnected device from LAN, then reconnected. Connection with AirDroid established immediately.
All of which probably presented in a FAQ long ago, right? ;)
