Images from DCIM folder not showing up in "Pictures"

Images from DCIM folder are not showing up in "Pictures".They're visible in the file browser, though.

Device: LG Optimus Black / Android 2.2

Hi jochen, what's the path of your DCIM folder?

it is
sdcard/DCIM/Camera

there are also other folders with images (not from the camera):
sdcard/DCIM/Wallpapers
sdcard/DCIM/Kontakte (=contacts; it is a German phone)

Maybe you can do a recursive search within the DCIM folder.

Also, there should probably be an option to filter out folders that you don't want to see in the pictures "app" if it is designed to view recently taken pictures. Maybe something similar to the ".nomedia" file.
