Problem playing mp4 videos in chrome

Just installed Airdroid and I love it. It's a great app. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't play mp4 videos from my phone from the web interface. I can see the thumbnail, but when I double click the video, it pops up a window with a big red circle with a line through it. Is there some trick to this? Surely this can't be right.

I have noticed a similar problem. I have a Chromebook and whenever I try to play a video from my phone it keeps telling me that I have to download Quicktime. I really hope they allow you to be able to play the video from within the application. Especially as I cannot download Quicktime on my Chromebook.
