"Failed to connect"

"Failed to connect"

Hello everyone.
I just downloaded AirDroid on my Samsung Nexus (Android 4.1). So, I opened the website on my pc browser, scanned the QR code, and received a message saying "Failed to connect. Make sure that your mobile and your computer are connected to the same wifi network."
I am completely sure that they are connected to the same wi-fi, as we only have one wi-fi network at home.
Can anyone figure out what's wrong or is anyone experiencing the same problem?
(I also tried using the password, but it didnt work either...)

Can you log onto your phone using the IP address of you're mobile instead of scanning the code?
