Hardware beep

When I receive a text message I keep getting a medium long hardware beep (the BIOS kind). Why am I getting this and more important, how do I turn it off?

This app is developed by one of our users and we appreciate his/her work. But if you don't want the notification sound when receive a SMS, you may try disable this to see if the issue still remains.
