force LAN connection

I'm having a similar problem...the PC has a wired connection and my Note3 (w/ KitKat) is using WiFi, but the same LAN. It's always worked beautifully until this recent bug. Now when I initially connect, it always starts in a "Remote Connection Mode." However, if I "Disconnect" on the phone and then "Reconnect" via the webpage on the PC, then it will make the "LAN Connection Mode."
Not a deal breaker, but it is annoying!
