Contacts and groups

Hello
The contacts list that is displayed in Airdroid only brings up the contacts that are in my actual cell phone. The contacts won't display that are on my sim card. I am using an older version of airdroid. Or is that not a feature that Airdroid has.
Also I want to be able to create a contacts group and then add some people to the group with Airdroid. I can't seem to do this either
