Can't Call From Messages

I noticed just in the last few days that when clicking on the "+" next to a contact's name in messages, it no longer gives me the option to call but only pops up the contacts list.
Is this a change or is there something wrong?
This is in AirDroid Web on a Windows 10 PC.
