Clearly this hasn't been fixed. Airdroid is now completely useless.

Same error message here. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android 4.2.2. Problem seems to be with the airdroid web portal itself, though, because the device registers as "connected", and the web portal even shows new incoming text messages, despite the error message. Odd.
