I just installed the AirDroid and I find the concept extremely appealing.
However, there seems to be a bit of a "forgetfulness" issue going on from the phone perspective.
When the service on the phone starts, it doesn't login by itself. I tried using the Google authentication as well as typing in the email/password combination manually. In both cases the login succeeds but things only work until the service stops for any reason. Then manual login is again required.
This is also reflected in retention of settings, which are lost as well. For example I turn off the icon in notification area, because I don't want it to get crowded and because I don't want to let a potential future thief know if I ever have to recover my phone. But whenever the service restarts, the notification area icon is back and I have to turn it off again.
So to me it looks like the phone has a problem persistently saving the settings of the app.
I'm using HTC One X. Android version 4.1.1
Standard OS image, non-rooted or anything like that.
