Need to unlock phone before to connect ?

What is the point to unlock the phone prior to connect to the phone with web.airdroid.com.
I though this apps is to access remotely to the device?

It's a little bit a pain if I need to draw my pattern to unlock the phone every time I want to connect with my computer. I know that is possible to use lite mode to connect on same local network but no password protection anymore..

Any suggestions (except to remove the lock pattern) to connect to phone without the phone in the other hand ?

Same here too. Also, what if you lose your phone and want to use those features like wipe, locate, etc. Hopefully next version is just focused on stability, not features.
