Slow uploads and downloads in Chrome

HiI have a Galaxy S4 and all of a sudden my transferring of files via Chrome has become extremely slow. When I try Safari, it works fine (although I cannot load folders in this)


My computer runs Apple OS 10.7.5


Anyone else having the same trouble?

I am having the same problem with the exception that downloads are also very slow with either browser. i am getting 100 kb/s
Same phone, same browsers, running OS 10.8
