Yes it does. When the SMS even shows up.

That's weird...Does the receiver receive one msg, or S/he receives two messages,too?

Hi, Thanks for clarifying the issue.
It seems to be the problem from phone system. Kindly understand that upgrading sms sent by non-default apps are decided by the phone system.
The receivers get one message, that is to say that AirDroid sends out only one message, but the phone system upgrading two messages
