SMS sent from web neither written to app nor phone

hello
been happily using airdroid mainly to send SMS from win7 desktop for ages, thanks for the great stuff.

now, with my new phone (huawei p8, lolipop 5.0) when trying to send SMS the lil' envelope bottom right keeps travelling, caught in the loop. when i close and reopen SMS the message is gone. the message is beeing sent but no record, neither on phone nor web.

your help is greatly appreciated.
