The app has installed OK on my JVC SmarTV with Android 4.2.2, but I cannot control it with the remote control because you have forgotten to add SmarTV remote control responsiveness (this is, the arrow and enter keys and focus rectangles on buttons and UI controls)
I'm not blaming you, the YouTube app also has limited remote responsiveness, and it's an app developed by Google... but if you could test it and make the app respond to the remote control by adding the mentioned functions, that would be great.
Currently, there's no way to remote control this Android SmarTVs from phones or computers because they are too new.
