when am i going to be able to do anything relevant with Apple iOS? Like SMS, Notifications, etc......

iOS is worthless indeed. They think commercially only. I mean we can't even set own ringtone or add apps like ad blocker apps like android to improve our day to day experience.
All they care about is MONEY.

Android is choice when we talk about iOS and Android. iOS does not allow third party installation. Whereas Android allows every App that we want to install like Games, Ad Blocker Apps, Learning Apps etc. But iOS does provide more security.
