Track SMS Character Counts in Windows Desktop Client

I'm liking the new 3.0 Windows desktop client a lot. I noticed in the Windows Client that I can't see how many characters are in the SMS message that I'm currently writing though. It'd be nice if a character counter could be added to the SMS page of the main Windows Client, as well as the SMS message desktop notification popup.
