Photo preview size and format

It's difficult organize and delete bad photos because I can't see the cropping of the pictures. The preview format is square but the original picture isn't. An other possibilities is, if I can delete photos in full window preview mode. Now I must look pictures first in small mode, then full size then back to small mode and delete and so on.
This feature I wish.

It's good idea to write here, because at last I noticed that there is the feature I hope allready. In full windows mode there is a hoover toolbar in the bottom of picture. More than one year I have use this without knowing that. Shame on me.
