+1 Finally I just pick up the phone if I want to call somebody or somebody calls me 
On April 5, this year, I've posted in this topic to show my support for this feature request. Are there any new developments or official responses regarding this request?
This feature is the number one reason to use airdroid for me. I use Whatsapp a lot, but typing on my phone is not as comfortable as doing so with my desktop keyboard.
I would be very happy to pay for an app that can do this.
A few problems:
no official APIincompatible, closed source XMPP
(which they can change after someone uses the reverse engineered protocol)not allowed by WhatsApp PolicyCrypted SQLite DB
(there is a WhatsApp DB Decryptor in Pyton, but again: WhatsApp can change its encryption easily)
So, forget it!
